Katia Cotton Merino Fine
70% certified organic cotton, 30% superwash merino
Length: 75mWeight: 25g
This plump, soft 4-5ply weight yarn made from gorgeous natural fibres has a certified organic cotton chain core with extra-fine merino wool fibres wrapped in and around the chain. A versatile yarn perfect for garments and accessories for all ages.
To squish this ball of yarn is to immediately fall in love. Cotton Merino Fine is made from a blend of 70% GOTS certified organic cotton and 30% merino extrafine superwash wool in a range of delicious pastels and brights. It works well for patterns using 4ply/fingering weight and 5ply/sportweight patterns.
What makes this stunning yarn both interesting and so beautifully soft is its unusual cotton chainette construction - extra fine dyed merino fibres are wrapped within and around a cotton tube. The effect this creates when worked into a fabric is of a delicious soft and squishy texture, with beautifully uneven, two-tone shading of colour. The pastels have a white cotton chain with coloured wool fibres, and the brights are dyed the same colour throughout.
Fantastic for jumpers, cardigans, shawls, cowls, blankets and more. Perfect for babies and children as it's soft, warm, light and fully machine-washable.
