This month we're thrilled to welcome Fiber Lily Designs - Kylie Vitnell - to our Sisters Spotlight. Kylie is based in the Hunter Valley, and creates fabulous variegated colourways with splashes and speckles of colour. Her two exclusive colourways to Skein Sisters are the divine 'FL Spring' and 'Pistachio' on the Aussie Sock base (80% Australian superwash merino and 20% nylon), 100g, 420m / 459yards.
Kylie credits being raised in a creative household for her love of making - art of one form or another has always been a big part of her life. Beginning with playing piano and flute through her school years and then drawing, painting, crochet and knitting into her adult life. Her journey into the world of hand dyed yarn was a natural progression, stemming from the combined passion for colour and the fibre arts. Fiber Lily colourways are inspired by Kylie's fascination with colour theory and the benefits gained from colour therapy. She firmly believes the colours you use while knitting and crocheting can have a positive impact on your wellbeing. From her home studio (AKA - Yarn Cave) in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW, Kylie is constantly creating dynamic and unique colourways through the development of new dyeing techniques.
Fiber Lily yarns are available in store and online until the end of the month (while stocks last).
