Catrien Kilpatrick from Auckland, New Zealand, is the indie dyer behind all the yarn you can find in our April Sisters' Spotlight.
Catrien says "Hi! I am Catrien, the face behind Yarnfloozy yarns. I am based in Auckland, New Zealand, where I live with my husband and three kids. Our home is nestled in the beautiful Waitakere bush and on the cusp of the wild west beaches, both of which serve as much of the inspiration behind my work. When I am not creating I can be found out and about with my family enjoying nature, most likely with my feet in the sand and the ocean breeze in my hair, fuelled by a good coffee!"
Catrien has put together a cohesive collection for Skein Sisters this month, featuring a beautiful colour palette across her skeins and sets. There is a luxurious range of gorgeous bases, including fingering 4ply and DK 8ply in combinations of merino, yak or silk fibres. We're also thrilled that Catrien has included a small quantity of sets in her merino/silk/cashmere base for Libby Jonson's (TrulyMyrtle) Floozy Cardigan. Each set has 3 or 4 skeins of the main colour and 2 mini skeins for the colourwork.
