Why you'll love it

Master the art of garment fit and create crochet clothing you'll love to wear.

Take the guesswork out of crochet garment making and learn how to create garments that fit beautifully and feel great.

In this practical workshop with Jane, you’ll explore one of the biggest challenges crocheters face – achieving the right fit. Learn why gauge is the foundation of successful garment making, how to swatch effectively, and how to use your gauge information to make confident pattern choices and adjustments.

Jane will guide you through taking accurate body measurements, understanding garment ease and construction, and assessing different garment shapes by trying on sample pieces. You’ll discover how small adjustments can make a significant difference to fit, comfort and confidence.

With more than 40 years of crochet experience, Jane brings a wealth of knowledge and practical tips to help you transform patterns into garments you’ll love to wear.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to:

  • Understand why gauge matters and how it affects garment fit
  • Create and measure accurate gauge swatches with confidence
  • Take and use body measurements when selecting sizes
  • Understand ease and how it influences the finished garment
  • Assess garment shapes and determine which styles suit you best
