Why you'll love it

The Ravelry website is an incredible resource for fibre lovers – knitters, crocheters, spinners, dyers and designers alike. It’s packed with patterns, yarn information, project inspiration and community groups, but getting started can feel a little overwhelming if you’re not familiar with how it all works.

In this class, Jane will guide you through the essentials of using Ravelry so you can search more effectively, organise your projects and favourites, and connect with the wider fibre community with confidence.

In this class you’ll learn how to:

  • register for and log in to Ravelry
  • search for patterns using filters such as yarn weight, gauge, garment type and construction method
  • set up and personalise your profile page
  • search for yarns and save useful information
  • keep track of your projects
  • organise your favourites and queues
  • find and join groups that interest you
  • participate in forums and post questions
  • understand basic online etiquette within the Ravelry community
