Why you'll love it

Sunday 4 April 2027, 1pm – 4pm

Knit a shaggy wall hanging and learn three different ways to add fringe.

This simple tapestry project is a joyful way to learn different methods of applying fringe to your knitting. With Xandy Peters, you’ll knit the tapestry first, then bring it to life with three types of fringe – 3D fringe, surface fringe and long fringe – before hanging it from a dowel ready for your wall.

Xandy’s pattern includes specific instructions that make each fringed element easier to tie, so you’ll leave with techniques you can add to scarves, shawls, bags and more.

In this class you’ll learn…

  • How to knit a tapestry base ready for fringing
  • Three different ways to apply fringe – 3D, surface and long
  • Tips for tying fringe neatly and evenly
  • How to finish and hang your wall hanging on a dowel
