Indiecita Baby Suri Silk Brushed

Add a touch of deliciously soft fluff to your next project with cloud-like Baby Suri Silk Brushed by Indiecita. Incredibly soft to touch, this yarn is gentle on the skin and is perfect to use held with another yarn or simply by itself to create light-as-a-feather garments and accessories. 

This yarn is airy and cloud-like, with a brushed texture that adds warmth and softness without weight. Use it on its own for delicate, floaty shawls or garments, or hold it with another yarn to add a gentle halo and depth to your fabric.

If a pattern calls for two strands of mohair then you only need one strand of Suri Silk!

If you can't wear mohair, this is the perfect substitute. Made with baby Suri alpaca and silk, this yarn is gentle on sensitive skin. 

If a colour has 'Multis' in the name it is a beautiful blend of tonal colours. 

Baby Suri Silk Brushed is a great option for those patterns that call for a strand of yarn to be held with a strand of suri ... such as Pink Velvet by Andrea Mowry, Xiao Mai 小麥 by Layla Yang (from Neons & Neutrals by Laine), Soul Sister Scarf by Sari Nordlund ...or substitute for mohair in patterns such as Love Note by Tincanknits and PetiteKnit's patterns.

We had fun testing ways to knit with it and got the following gauges, so you can see how versatile it is:

• single strand, 4mm needles: 20sts/10cm
• single strand held with a 4ply yarn, 4.5mm needles: 18.5sts/10cm
• single strand held with a 4ply yarn, 6mm needles: 17sts/10cm
• double strand of Suri, 4.5mm needles: 16sts/10cm

This yarn has the most delicious halo and is incredibly light and soft. Add it to your projects to make the squishiest, softest garments and accessories.
