Is there anything sweeter than a baby in a hand-knitted romper? This one has button straps and a matching hat, and it's knitted in organic cotton – soft against new skin and easy to wash.
Written for Sesia Bio Bimbo Organic 4ply – a soft, multicoloured 100% organic cotton 4ply that's cool, breathable and easy to wash.
- Knitted flat in stocking stitch and garter stitch, then seamed.
- Optional garter stitch stripes add texture to a single-coloured version.
- The pattern has instructions for both a single-coloured and a multicoloured version.
Gauge: 28 sts and 36 rows to 10cm on 3.25mm needles. If you have fewer stitches in 10cm use smaller needles. If you have more stitches in 10cm use larger needles.

What you need to make the romper and hat:
- 2.75mm and 3.25mm knitting needles
- stitch holders
- Tapestry needle for seaming and sewing in ends
- Clips are useful for holding seams together
- 4 buttons
