Why you'll love it

Get behind our fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness month in October 2026.

This year our exclusive limited edition colour pays tribute to the unbreakable courage of women on their breast cancer journey. Our lovely dyer Julia has created this stunning colour - Unbreakable - as our special, limited-edition skein for Breast Cancer Awareness month 2026 and to once again support - Knit for the Girls. Each skein of Unbreakable is a glowing, variegated delight of warm pink woven with delicious blue and yellow. Julia takes care to design variegated colourways using her own specially developed colour application technique - so colours transform and blend beautifully in the finished fabric without pooling.

She'll be dyeing batches of these special skeins throughout October, and we're thrilled to be able to offer them to you knowing 25% of sales will go to support breast cancer research and the work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This stunning colour Unbreakable is on preorder with the very latest shipping date 28/10/2026, but yarn will ship throughout October as it's dyed. Please note: other items purchased on your order will be held and shipped together with your yarn.

So grab your skein before they sell out! - They're perfect for those single skein projects, or a statement pair of socks (LOVE!). Use it on its own or hold it with fluffy mohair or suri for extra special warmth and texture. Every purchase will make an important contribution to breast cancer research.

Yarn Weight vs Yarn Ply

"Ply" technically refers to the construction of the yarn. It's the number of strands that are twisted together to make a single piece of yarn. While "ply" historically related to the thickness (or weight) of the yarn, today's spinning technology means that the number of plies doesn't always correspond directly to the thickness of the yarn.

However, in some countries, including Australia & the UK, the numbering system of yarn ply still refers to the thickness of the yarn, so it's possible to have a single ply 4ply yarn! - this means that the yarn is constructed of a single ply, but has the traditional thickness of a 4ply sock / fingering yarn).
