Before you come to class you will cast on and complete 5 rounds of ribbing (details of your homework are below), In this class you will learn to knit the sweater from the top down in one piece. Along the way the techniques we will cover are:

  • Increasing and decreasing
  • Ribbing
  • Picking up stitches for sleeves
  • Knitting sleeves (small circumference knitting)

All these skills may be used when knitting any top down garment project, whether it's a snuggly woollen sweater for winter, or a breezy summer top knitted in cool cotton or linen (such as the lovely Tolsta Tee).
