Tolsta Tee Kit

Knit the perfect summer tee with the Tolsta Tee by Rebecca Clow – a clean and classic raglan design that’s worked seamlessly from the top down.

The Tolsta Tee is designed to be your blank canvas. It’s a great wardrobe basic as written, but it’s also super easy to personalise with stripes, eyelets, or colour play. The pattern even includes a bonus resource with helpful modification ideas. Entirely seamless and knit in the round, this basic raglan t-shirt as satisfying to make as it is to wear.

You have a choice of two yarns in our kits:

• Fiddlesticks Cedar, a smooth bamboo/cotton sport-DK weight yarn. The bamboo gives it a slight silkiness and sheen adding lustre, depth and a beautiful drape to your finished project, while the cotton adds softness and stability to the yarn. 
• Fibra Natura Papyrus, an 8ply cotton/silk blend with a soft touch, cool feel and a delicate sheen that makes it ideal for warmer weather and layering.

Whether you choose classic neutrals or a bold pop of Raspberry, the Tolsta Tee is an elegant and endlessly wearable piece you'll reach for all season.

• Suggested ease: 0-8cm (our sample is a size 4, Deb has a 97cm bust and is wearing it with 13cm positive ease)

About our version

Our sample is knit in Fiddlesticks Cedar with eyelets (see notes below). You can find all of the notes that Rebecca, our sample maker, made about the pattern on her Ravelry page here.

Optional Modifications
Stripes: Add a contrast ball and follow Rebecca’s easy instructions.
Eyelet rounds: Add lace rows every 10 rounds after the initial shaping.

• The first row of lace eyelet pattern is done 3 rounds after German Short Rows:
• Knit GSRs
• Knit 1 round to resolve GSRs
• Knit 1 increase (inc) round
• Knit 1 round
• Knit eyelet round:  Commences on inc round, keep doing inc's at same time. Make sure you have an equal amount of yos to k2togs and work around the inc's. i.e. k2tog, yo, inc, k1, inc, k2tog, yo.
• Knit eyelet round every 10 rounds from here.
