Designed by Inese Sang, the Krisanteema Shawl is a stunning triangular shawl inspired by the layered petals of chrysanthemums, with contrasting textures and colours to create a dimensional, mesmerising design.

Krisanteema features a main body of simple ribbing in the main colour, interrupted by delicate scalloped petal panels that alternate between the contrast and main colour. The petal sections use smooth stockinette to showcase the full gradience of the contrast yarn, while the ribbing adds structure and definition.

This design is specifically created to highlight the properties of silk-rich yarns with natural sheen, making our Skein Sisters Romance the perfect choice.

The colourways are photographed with the main colour (MC) on the left. The gorgeous sample is knit by @thedragonknitter in the Olive You colourway.

Hand-dyed in Australia

As a hand-dyed yarn, each skein is unique. While we take great care to ensure consistency across dyelots, we recommend alternating skeins when working on larger projects.

Skein Sisters Yarns are hand-dyed in Dulwich Hill in Sydney, Australia on the country of the Bedigal, Wangal and Kameygal people of the Eora Nation.
