Beginner Brioche Knitting with Linda
Learn all about brioche knitting with one or two colours in this practical and fun class with Linda
What is Brioche? Other than a delicious sweet French bread it is also a striking knitting technique that makes a beautifully squishy, drapey fabric. Many designers include brioche in their patterns, and it has a reputation for being difficult, but Linda will break it down and simplify it for you in this class.
If you know how to knit and purl you will be able to learn brioche! In this class, you will work on a brioche sampler that you can continue working on at home after class to make a scarf. You will start with simple one-colour brioche and progress to two-colour brioche while also learning how to increase and decrease in brioche.
The class is hands-on and practical, and there will be plenty of time for questions and group discussion in class.
Skill level: Suitable for advanced beginners. Knitters who are comfortable with casting on, knit and purl stitches and knitting in the round will enjoy this class.

Your teacher: Linda Scocca
Linda was taught how to knit by her mum when she was eight years old and encouraged by both her Nonna’s to keep her hands busy. Knitting, crochet, embroidery and sewing where all a part of her life from a young age. After a break from crafting Linda came back to it, and knitting in particular, with a vengeance! Shawls, jumpers, cardigans, socks, colourwork, lace, cables, accessories - she wants and does knit all the things! Linda enjoys helping many knitters and crocheters decipher tricky patterns and learn new techniques at our regular Help Clinic. She has oodles of patience for beginners and is excited to welcome newcomers to our much loved craft.
