Discover Brioche Knitting with Linda!

Join in the Brioche fun! Learn all about brioche and add a new dimension to your knitting skills. With Linda’s expert guidance, we'll teach you how to knit brioche and feel confident enough to make your own projects incorporating this wonderful technique.

Brioche is an interesting knitted ribbing technique known for its beautifully squishy, textured and drapey fabric. While it may seem complex, it's actually formed by simple knit & purl stitches, yarnovers and slip stitches. There are thousands of wonderful knitting patterns available which use the brioche technique - in this class we'll help you to simplify and demystify brioche knitting so you can start your own brioche project!

What You’ll Learn:

  • Master Brioche Basics: Start knitting a brioche swatch in class which you can then continue knitting into a gorgeous scarf at home if you wish (pattern is included in your class fee). The swatch/scarf you'll make is shown in the black/bright blue pictures.
  • Step-by-Step Learning:
    • Understand brioche terminology and stitches
    • Start with simple one-colour brioche to grasp the fundamentals.
    • Advance to two-colour brioche to add depth and complexity to your fabric.
    • Learn brioche increases and decreases to create shaping and decoration in your knitted fabric.

Class Experience:

  • Interactive and Engaging: This hands-on workshop is designed to provide loads of opportunities for practice, questions and group discussion in class, ensuring you get the most out of your time with your teacher.
