Cheeky Merino Joy is pure joy to work with. It's a fine, sport weight yarn spun from extra fine organic merino (19.5 micron) from Patagonia, so it's beautifully soft – even on sensitive skin. The merino comes from certified organic farms, produced without mulesing, chemical treatments or long animal transport.

It glides smoothly through your fingers, doesn't split and pills minimally, with clear stitch definition and a silky feel. Gentle hank dyeing keeps it soft and elastic, so it's lovely for delicate stitch work. Use it for tops, jumpers, shawls, light hats and gloves, and baby clothes.

Every colour belongs to one of three palettes – you'll see Pure, Moods or Melange after each colour name.

• Pure – dyed on a white base for rich, vibrant colour, from lush darks to a few soft neutrals. Lovely when you want contrast and a bit of life in your colourwork.
• Moods – also dyed on white, but soft, delicate and hazy. Made for pairing with a stronger accent colour in gentle, harmonious projects.
• Melange – dyed on a special base where fine black fibres are spun together with white, giving every colour a subtle light-and-dark depth. Melange shines in monochrome and textured designs.

Care: Cheeky Merino Joy is made machine washable without chlorine. Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle with a wool detergent, then dry flat – ideally on a towel – away from direct heat and sun. If needed, iron on the lowest setting.

It's made in small European mills using traditional machines and plenty of handcraft, and it's fully GOTS certified – fair working conditions, ecological standards and health-safe materials are independently checked right through the supply chain.
