Shipping and Delivery

During our sale we do our best to get your order shipped as quickly as possible however due to the high volume of orders, shipping may take longer than usual. We've got extra packers on hand to get your precious package packed and on its way asap, however this may take a little longer than normal due to the volume of orders.

Whilst we prioritise Express Post, we cannot guarantee Express Post orders will ship on the day the order is placed.

Australia Post are currently experiencing delays due to covid restrictions and extreme weather in NSW and Queensland. This may result in a delay in receiving your order.

Free postage over $200 does not apply to bulky items or wholesale orders.

When dispatched from Skein Sisters, you'll receive tracking information for your parcel (unless you've chosen the $4 letter option). You can then track your parcel via the Australia Post website. It's not unusual for expected delivery dates from Australia Post to be missed. If your parcel has not been received within a reasonable period of time after the due delivery date, you should lodge an enquiry with Australia Post as the first step. Once your parcel has left Skein Sisters we have no control over when its delivered.

General Shipping Details:

You can choose your preferred method of shipping at checkout.  We use Australia Post e-parcel for all our shipping.

We offer FREE shipping on orders over $200 within Australia and to New Zealand (excluding orders that contain oversized items* - shipping on these orders will be calculated separately).

A flat postage rate of $8 applies to orders under $200 within Australia and to New Zealand (excluding orders that contain oversized items* - shipping on these orders will be calculated separately). Orders will be sent via regular e-parcel post.

* Oversized items such as blocking kits, swifts etc have a note on their product page specifically advising they do not qualify for free postage. Postage on oversized items will be calculated and charged separately.

Express Post. If you need your fabulous yarn NOW you can specify Express Post at checkout for a flat rate of $15 in Australia while New Zealand International Express shipping is a flat rate of $20.

International shipping to countries other than Australia or New Zealand is available through Australia Post using their 'Standard International' and 'Express Post International' service. Prices will be calculated at checkout based on the destination and weight of the package.

We take every care in preparing our orders for shipping. We cannot be responsible for parcels once they have left our store. Any queries or follow-up regarding deliveries need to be directed to Australia Post.

We offer a Store Pickup service which you can choose when you checkout. When your order (excluding pre-orders) is  ready for you to pick up from our store at 721 New Canterbury Road, Dulwich Hill, Sydney NSW you will receive an email letting you know you can come by the store. Our hours are Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sunday 11am - 4pm. Note: please see the product description for availability dates for pre-orders.

Gift vouchers: please select Electronic Delivery as your shipping method. At checkout you will be asked for a gift message, your email address, the recipient's email address. You can also optionally fill in a date for the voucher to be sent, otherwise it will be sent shortly after checkout is completed. A copy of the gift voucher will also be emailed to you.
