Summer Sale - terms & conditions
Skein Sisters' Summer sale begins 6pm Thursday 8 February and ends 11.59pm Monday 12 February AEDT. The sale will be held online and instore (during normal opening hours). Sale applies to items as marked only - sale discounts do not apply to classes & workshops, gift vouchers, and pre-orders (except where specified). Due to the busy nature of the sale we are not able to combine orders placed separately. No lay-bys or rainchecks. Whilst we do our best to ship orders quickly there may be a delay in shipping due to the volume of orders placed. Please allow extra time for your order to be delivered.

Parcels from Skein Sisters are sent with either Australia Post or Sendle. When dispatched from Skein Sisters, you'll receive an email with tracking information for your parcel. Click on the Onlink Tracking link provided or copy the consignment number and track it via the Australia Post website or the Sendle website. You can see who your parcel is being sent with under the heading Ship Method in the email.

It's not unusual for expected delivery dates to be missed. If your parcel has not been received within a reasonable period of time after the due delivery date, you should lodge an enquiry with the carrier as the first step. Once your parcel has left Skein Sisters we have no control over when or how it's delivered. 

General Shipping Details:

We use Australia Post e-parcel or Sendle for our Standard shipping. Express Post parcels are all sent with Australia Post. You can select either Standard or Express postage at the checkout.

We offer FREE shipping on orders over $200 within Australia and to New Zealand (excluding orders that contain oversized items* - shipping on these orders will be calculated separately).

A flat postage rate of $9.50 applies to orders under $200 within Australia and to New Zealand (excluding orders that contain oversized items* - shipping on these orders will be calculated separately). Orders will be sent via standard post.

* Oversized items such as blocking kits, swifts etc have a note on their product page specifically advising they do not qualify for free postage. Postage on oversized items will be calculated and charged separately.

Express Post If you need your fabulous yarn NOW you can specify Express Post at checkout for a flat rate of $16.50 in Australia while New Zealand International Express shipping is a flat rate of $21.50.

Please note: as of 26 April 2023, Australia Post states: "While Express Post remains our fastest postal delivery option, current circumstances mean we can't guarantee next business day delivery at the moment. We’ll continue to review this situation and advise of any changes when we can."

International shipping to countries other than Australia or New Zealand is available through Australia Post using their 'Standard International' and 'Express Post International' service. Prices will be calculated at checkout based on the destination and weight of the package.

We take every care in preparing our orders for shipping. We cannot be responsible for parcels once they have left our store. Any queries or follow-up regarding deliveries need to be directed to Australia Post or to Sendle.

Store Pickups 

Paid orders

We offer a Store Pickup service which you select when you checkout. When your order is ready for you to pick up from our store at 721 New Canterbury Road, Dulwich Hill, Sydney NSW you will receive a text, email or phone call letting you know. 

Your paid order will be held for 14 days only After 14 days the items will be returned to stock and a store credit issued. If you know you cannot collect your order within the 14-day period, please call or email us. A note will be made on your order and you will have one month from the original notification date to collect your purchase. If, after one month, your order has not been collected, the items will be returned to stock and a store credit issued.

Note: please see the product description for availability dates for pre-orders. A text message will be sent to you as soon as the pre-order is ready to be picked up.

Our shop hours are Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sunday 11am - 4pm.

Unpaid orders

Orders which have not been paid will be held for 48 hours only. If the items remain unpaid after 48 hours they will be returned to stock.

Unpaid back orders

Back orders which have not been paid will be held for 7 days from the time you receive the notification - either by text, email or phone call. If these back orders remain unpaid after 7 days, the items will be returned to stock.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers: please select Electronic Delivery as your shipping method. At checkout you will be asked for a gift message, your email address, the recipient's email address. You can also optionally fill in a date for the voucher to be sent, otherwise it will be sent shortly after checkout is completed. A copy of the gift voucher will also be emailed to you.
