We love our Skein Sisters' yarn and we love working with independent designers to help provide wonderful patterns for our customers! 

If you're a knitting or crochet designer interested in using our yarn for a forthcoming pattern we ask you send us a detailed sketch of your design, a description of the garment to sisters@skeinsisters.com.au, together with a link to other designs you've created. The more details you can provide about your design the better. Applications for yarn support are reviewed with an view to whether the design something that will work well with our yarns and appeal to our customers.

To help us understand how your design will work, please specify:

• Preferred yarn base
• Approximate meterage used
• Colour preferences & suggestions
• Overall size range and ease (if relevant)

Projects that are accessible, size inclusive, and will work for multiple gauges are viewed positively.

If we think the design is a good match for our customers and yarns, we will then discuss colours with you, sometimes picking from our existing range, sometimes developing specific colourways, depending on the situation. 

Once we have selected or developed the colorways, yarn is sent to you with the design to be completed and published by an agreed time. We are also happy to provide single use discount codes for your test knitters. We ask designers to give us advance notice of the pattern release date, so we have time to make sure the yarn is available, especially if there are special colorways, and we can prepare social media posts to help with the cross-promotion of the pattern.
