This eye-catching Garter Chevron Blanket designed by Catherine Anderson is knitted in lovely squishy garter stitch with striking Chevron stripes. The pattern is straightforward and easy to remember and is made by increasing and decreasing at the angles of the Chevrons. We've put together these lovely kits for the stroller size blanket (small) in super squishy 100% wool Peppin 10. This yarn is perfect for babies as it's soft and smooth as well as being machine washable.
This pattern is suitable for advanced beginner knitters and as it's knitted in 10ply wool, it's easy and quick to make. Techniques used in the pattern include:
- Garter stitch (both sides knit stitch)
- Increases and decreases
- Casting on, binding off, and finishing
The pattern is written in two sizes and these kits are for the smaller size which is perfect for keeping baby warm in their stroller on a chilly day. Your finished blanket will be incredibly soft and look amazing.
Our yarn sets contain all the yarn you need to make the small sized blanket and include:
- 3 balls of the main colour (shown on the left in each image)
- 3 balls of contrast colour 1 (shown second from left in each image)
- 2 balls each of 2 additional contrast colours
Please note: we do not have the colours shown in the sample - the closest colourway is Into the Woods.

Tools required (not included):
- 4.5mm knitting needles. We recommended using a long circular needle (80cm and above) for this project
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for sewing in ends
Finished dimensions: approximately 70cm x 45cm after blocking.
