Cedar by Fiddlesticks is a fabulous bamboo/cotton 5ply/sportweight to 8ply/DK weight yarn. The bamboo gives it a slight silkiness and sheen adding lustre and depth to your finished project while the cotton adds softness and stability to the yarn (100% bamboo has a tendency to stretch).
With quite a tight twist, it's not at all splitty when knitting or crocheting. It forms a beautifully dense fabric and we can imagine using it to make blankets and other homewares, as well as garments such as summer tops and cardigans, and summer shawls. Plus the colours are DELICIOUS! There are lovely soft pastels for babies along with intense brights and fashion colours to really make your projects sing.
When knitting, we get a gauge from 22 stitches to 25 stitches depending on the needle size which gives it a great versatility for sportweight through to DK-weight patterns.
