We're delighted to welcome Jo Joz Art Studio to Skein Sisters. This lovely studio specialises in handmade custom polymer stitch markers, badges, jewellery and accessories. 

The immense beauty and fragility of Australia's flora and fauna encourages artist Joanne to develop designs to compliment and promote this incredible country.

​Jo Joz Art Studio's whimsical and colourful stitch markers featuring Australian animals and birds, as well as gorgeous unique Granny Squares, are perfect for marking significant places in your knitting or crocheting, such as beginning of rounds, shaping points or right side of fabric.

Meet the Artist Joanne Cramette

Joanne lives in Maleny on the beautiful hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast where she handcrafts an ever-growing polymer collection of unique and whimsical conversation pieces which will warm your heart and soul.

Joanne is originally from Sydney where she studied graphic design and worked with the talented polymer clay artist, Belinda Jackson at "Out of the Ordinary" in the mid 1980s. Her passion for art and craft has always influenced her choices in life, she's always felt inspired to create and to make people happy.

All Joanne's pieces are created by her and her wonderful husband, Jack, who is her "partner-in-clay"!

They use high quality polymer clay and each piece is cut by hand, nothing is machine pressed or mass produced, you may even see a fingerprint or two! Not one item is the same and they go to great lengths to craft unique specialty pieces... and there are always more creations in progress!
