- All return items must be in resaleable condition, unless it was faulty or damaged.
- It must be in its original packaging and unopened.
- We cannot return yarn if it has been wound from a skein into a ball.

Terms and Conditions (NSW)
These Terms and Conditions apply to the promotions run by Skein Sisters during the Black Friday long weekend. By participating in either promotion, customers agree to be bound by the following conditions. All times refer to Sydney, NSW, Australia.
1. Promotional period
Both promotions commence at 5.00 pm Thursday 27 November 2025 and conclude at 11.59 pm Monday 1 December 2025 for purchases made in store or online at skeinsisters.com.au.
Promotion 1: Daily Prize Draws
Win 1 of 5 x AUD $50 Skein Sisters Gift Vouchers Daily
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to all customers who make a purchase in store or online during the promotional period.
Customers must provide valid contact details at the time of purchase to be eligible.
Employees of Skein Sisters and their immediate families may enter unless otherwise restricted by law.
3. How to enter
Each completed purchase equals one entry.
There is no limit to the number of entries per person.
Entries are automatically captured when the purchase is completed.
4. Prize details
Five winners will be drawn for each day of the promotional period, for a total of 25 winners.
Each winner will receive one AUD $50 Skein Sisters gift voucher.
Gift vouchers are not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash.
5. Prize draw
All draws will take place on Wednesday 3 December 2025 at Skein Sisters, 721 New Canterbury Rd, Dulwich Hill NSW.
Winners will be selected at random from eligible entries received for each respective day.
Winners will be notified by email within two business days of the draw.
Winners have 14 days from the date of notification to claim their prize. If unclaimed, the prize may be redrawn in accordance with NSW requirements.
Grand Prize Draw: Re:Designed Project Bag 45 (Dark Green)
6. Eligibility for the grand prize
All customers who have at least one valid entry in Promotion 1 are automatically entered into the grand prize draw.
7. Prize details
One winner will receive a Re:Designed Project Bag 45 in Dark Green valued at AUD $385.
The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
8. Prize draw
The grand prize winner will be drawn at random on Wednesday 3 December 2025.
The winner will be notified by email and/or phone within two business days of the draw.
The winner has 14 days from notification to claim the prize. If unclaimed, Skein Sisters may conduct a redraw if required by NSW law.
Promotion 2: Free Gift with purchase
Fuzz Off Comb for First 100 Eligible Customers
9. Eligibility
The first 100 customers who make a purchase of AUD $100 or more (excluding postage charges) during the promotional period will receive one free Skein Sisters Fuzz Off Comb valued at AUD $10.
10. How the offer works
Online orders: The comb will be automatically added to eligible orders at checkout.
In store: Staff will manually add the comb to eligible purchases.
Limit of one comb per customer, regardless of the number or value of orders.
The Fuzz Off Comb is not transferable, refundable or redeemable for cash.
Once 100 eligible customers have received their comb, the promotion ends even if the promotional period is still running.
General Conditions (applies to both promotions)
11. Liability
Skein Sisters is not responsible for late, incomplete or incorrectly submitted entries or technical issues that may affect entry.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skein Sisters is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of accepting or using a prize.
12. Privacy
Customer details collected for the promotions will be handled in accordance with the Skein Sisters Privacy Policy and used for contacting winners and administering the promotions. Details will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
13. Verification
Skein Sisters reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and purchases.
Skein Sisters may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits false information or acts fraudulently or disruptively.
14. Changes to the promotion
If for any reason the promotion cannot run as planned, Skein Sisters may amend, suspend or cancel the promotion subject to NSW laws.
15. Compliance
These promotions are free entry trade promotions conducted in NSW and will comply with the Community Gaming Act 2018 (NSW) and the Community Gaming Regulation 2020 (NSW).
No permit is required for these promotions under current NSW trade promotion regulations.
If a redraw is required for an unclaimed prize, it will be conducted in the same manner as the original draw.

To our US Customers:
Due to the recently introduced import tariff requirements in the US, we have had to temporarily suspend shipping to the US as our online platform works to find a suitable means to integrate the tariff costs at checkout. We will let you know as soon as this has been supplied. Until then we thank you for your patience.
As a small Australian business, we are devastated we can't send orders to our US customers. These developments affect all of us. Thank you for staying with us as we work through these changes. It means so much.
AFTERPAY & ZIPPAY
Afterpay and Zippay can be used when you check out on our website (only. Not available instore unfortunately).
Afterpay is a buy now, pay later platform that lets you pay for your items in 4 instalments over 6 weeks, interest free. To use Afterpay, add items to your shopping cart then select Afterpay from the available payment options. You pay for the first instalment of 25% at the time of purchase, and the remaining three instalments will be automatically deducted from you nominated debit or credit card over the following six weeks.
Items purchased with Afterpay can be returned for an exchange or refund, subject to our Returns Policy. Returns or refunds will be processed and Afterpay will be advised. Your payment plan will then be adjusted to refelect the new total order value. If you have already made a payment, this will be refunded to you via Afterpay. There is a minimum spend value of $50.
Zippay allows you to purchase online with flexible repayments. You can choose to pay with Zippay at checkout on our webstore. Zippay purchases can be returned or exchanged subject to our Returns Policy. Minimum monthly repayments are required. A monthly account fee of $9.95 applies and is subject to change. Pay your closing balance in full by the due date each month and the fee will be waived. Available to approved applicants only and subject to completion of satisfactory credit assessment. Do you offer YARN WINDING?
- Yes but we may not be able to provide a 'while you wait' yarn winding service. You are welcome to leave your yarn to be wound for collection at a later date.
- When ordering online you can purchase Yarn Winding for the number of skeins you want to be wound.
- We are unable to wind yarn that has not been purchased from us.
I'm confused about YARN WEIGHTS vs yarn ply - what does it mean?
"Ply" technically refers to the construction of the yarn. It's the number of strands that are twisted together to make a single piece of yarn. While "ply" historically related to the thickness (or weight) of the yarn, today's spinning technology means that the number of plies doesn't always correspond directly to the thickness of the yarn. However, in some countries, including Australia & the UK, the numbering system of yarn ply still refers to the thickness of the yarn, so it's possible to have a single ply 4ply yarn! - this means that the yarn is constructed of a single ply, but has the traditional thickness of a 4ply sock / fingering yarn).

Do you have knitting and crochet CLASSES?
- Face-to-face and virtual private lessons are available. You can book a private class here and see all our classes here.
- Please note that there is no credit or refund available for cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to face-to-face private classes.

- Classes are held in our private room within the shop, or in our new Studio at the side of the shop in Kroombit St.
How do I TRACK my order?
Once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, you'll receive an email with the tracking details. If we have your mobile phone number you may receive tracking via your phone.
Can I PICK UP an online order from the shop?
We offer a Store Pickup service which you select at checkout. When your order is ready for you to pick up you will receive a notification via SMS. We hold store pick ups for 14 days.
My GIFT VOUCHER isn't working. What can I do?
Our gift vouchers often have a complex combination of letters and numbers, and you have to get them exactly correct to make them work. If you have any trouble please let us know via email and we can sort it out for you.
Do your gift vouchers expire? And I've lost it and don't know the number.
No, gift vouchers don't expire.
If you've lost your voucher please get in touch. We can usually find it in our system if you know who gave it to you and when.
My order says it's Backorder Approved. What does this mean?
Don't worry, your order is being processed! This is simply a section in our software that helps us keep track of where your order is in our system.
If you've ordered some of the Fiddlesticks or Bellissimo yarns, you'll have seen in the description that we have loads of stock available but it's not all at our store. We have a shipment arriving at the store every couple of days to cover all your orders, but it does mean it make take a few days to be on its way to you. Your order is placed in Backorder Approved until the yarn arrives. Please be assured that we'll have your order packed and out the door as quickly as we can.
If you select Store Pick Up at checkout, please wait until you receive our text message to say your yarn is ready to be picked up.

Is the shop ACCESSIBLE for prams and wheelchairs?
- The main shop is accessible to all.
- The double doors on New Canterbury Road allow for flat access to the shop.
Where can I PARK?
- There is plenty of all-day and two-hour parking around Skein Sisters.
- Parking along New Canterbury Road, directly outside the shop, allows for access to the shop for those using wheelchairs or disability scooters.
How can I get there on PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
- We are a 10-minute walk from Hurlstone Park train station, as well as Dulwich Grove Light Rail station. Buses also run along New Canterbury Road past the shop.
