Pattern leaflet: This colourful patchwork square baby blanket is knitted in Amano Duna, a deliciously soft organic cotton/alpaca 4ply yarn which comes in a range of heathered undyed and dyed colours.

A pram coverlet built from mitred squares, with a small knitted doll to tuck in beside it. Seven beautiful shades of Amano Duna are combined here, from mushroom and dusky pink through to moss green and bright blue.
Because the squares are knitted onto one another as you go, the blanket grows in one piece and there is very little to sew up at the end. The doll is worked separately on smaller needles, using what is left over once the blanket is done.
Amano Duna is a 4ply blend of 60% organic cotton and 40% alpaca. The cotton gives it structure, so the fabric keeps its shape instead of going limp, and the alpaca brings the softness and the drape.

- Amano Duna 4ply - 8 x 50g skeins across seven colours
- Knitting needles 3.25mm straights and an 80cm circular
- Knitting needles 2.25mm double pointed, or a long circular for magic loop
- Stitch markers
- Toy stuffing
- A little black thread to embroider the doll's eyes
