Australian knitting designer Jake Henzler (Boy Knits World) has created a fun collection of knitted building blocks inspired by iconic cities around the world including London, Paris, Copenhagen, Sydney, Amsterdam, Prague and New York. These gorgeous blocks can then be pieced together to create blankets, throws, cushion covers and more! The collection, entitled Knit the City, will be released in a book of the same name on 5 May 2026. You can preorder your copy of the book here.
To get you started on your knitted building blocks, we've put together these starter kits in a range of colours suitable for the Sydney or London blankets. These starter kits are perfect to bring to one of Jakes classes or simply begin your Knit the City adventure.
Our yarn sets include four balls of Fiddlesticks Wren, a beautiful 8ply/DK weight cotton yarn, in colour palettes suggested by Jake.
